Anthem
We Walk Together
Uplifting, Resolute, Warm

Lyrics
Six years folded like a travel map
Lines worn thin at the seams
Boxes stacked in the back of trucks
Dust and unfinished dreams
Winter roads and hospital rooms
Holding hands through the night
We learn the weight of staying
When goodbye isn’t ours to write
I thought some lessons were over
I thought some doors were closed
But nothing ever leaves us
Till it shows what must be known
We walk together
Through the unknown
We stay and let the truth be known
Heart awake and hand in hand
We walk together
Eyes wide open
Through whatever comes and goes
Shoulder to shoulder, steady on the road
Across the miles the monks keep walking
Bare feet worn on stone
Orange robes against the morning
Step by step alone
Through the towns and through the valleys
Over dust and plain
Every footfall softly staying
Not racing toward a headline
Not arguing with the sky
Just the discipline of breathing
Step by step, alive
We walk together
Through the unknown
We stay and let the truth be known
Heart awake and hand in hand
We walk together
Eyes wide open
Through whatever comes and goes
Shoulder to shoulder, steady on the road
Peace is not a single day
It’s how we move along the way
Stay in the body
Stay in the burn
Eyes wide open
Hands unturned
Mercy practiced in the living
Of this world
We stand in this together
Through the unknown
We stay and let the truth be known
Heart awake and hand in hand
We walk together
Eyes wide open
Through whatever comes and goes
Shoulder to shoulder, steady on the road
Across the miles
Across the years
Through all our doubts and all our fears
One step laid into the next
One breath rising in the chest
Eyes wide open
We walk together
